Nutrient bag for planting your Sequoia or Redwood in a pot
This package nutrients and the indicated dose is specifically for Giant Sequoia trees and Coastal Redwood trees that are planted in a pot.
If a seedling is placed in a larger pot, it is important that the correct potting soil is used. Our sowing kits contain a bag of soil that contains the necessary nutrients for the first period. The instructions that come with our young trees state which soil is suitable. In addition to the right soil, first of all water and sunlight are required. But the right nutritional supplements are also important for successful growth.
You simply mix the contents of slow release fertilizer through the potting soil before you plant the seedling in its pot.
The bags contain around 40 grams of nutrients which are released slowly over the course of around 12 months so that the seedling gets all the nutrition it needs.
As soon as you have mixed these bag of nutrients into the soil, the nutrients start to release. So only mix the nutrients with the soil if you are actually going to put the seedling in this soil.
We advise you add 40 grams of these special nutrients per 10 liters of potting soil and then to mix it thoroughly with the potting soil. Don't add too much nutrients to the potting soil.
These nutrients help your seedling to develop faster and healthily.
